Some say it’s still dubstep, others say it’s still DnB.  The main producers are Drum & Bass producers, like Hazard, Calibre, and Noisia. This genre is still in it’s infant stage, but will it last?  Is there enough to add to a new genre that hasn’t been done before to make it interesting and appealing?  I’ve heard good mixes and boring mixes as I tried to get a feel for Drumstep. Personally, coming from a Hip-Hop and reggae background, I feel like this style could take off.  It also reminds me of the old school jungle sound, like old Aphrodite’s hip hop intro’s. Just from remixes, there are many possibilities for this sound. And to think beyond that, the production quality of this music could start to influence producers outside of EDM. But what do you think?  Would you support this style?  Would you like to hear more DJ’s spinnin this in clubs?

Today, I watched “It’s all gone Pete Tong” and I have to say; I know why I love this movie more and more each time. I haven’t watched it in nearly two years or something but man, it really hits to the home of most of us clubbers and night owls. We all have had friends in Frankies’ shoes, or have been that person. Relating to it is something that we can hope our children cannot. The Dream, the muzik, the hopeful comeback. If you havent seen it, look it up on itunes, or whatever service you use. It definitely shows the club scene from the dreamer perspective, and shows if you have the love for muzik, and the push and drive you can do anything.

American Cancer Society Benefit! - August 21, 2010 at Pearls - One World Muzik

We, the staff of One World Muzik have unanimously declared that cancer completely blows. Seriously, it’s the lamest thing ever. We have decided to give a whole bunch of money to the people that fund prevention and vaccine research! We’re gonna give you an awesome night, you give us a donation to the American Cancer Society in your cover charge. We all give a giant ‘EFF YOU, HON!’ to cancer by dancing and having a great time. Let us do this at least once per year, and let us make this event a big success, at an awesome place. And so the day finally draws near!

We’re excited to present our First Annual Cancer Society Benefit Show, at Pearls on August 21, 2010! One World Muzik and Pearls will be having a raffle for the following prizes:

I just want to say that I am very excited to be going to the Summer Massive this year. I know that in previous years it was at the Paradox, and had changed to Bourbon Street. I went last year (to the Paradox) and it was a blast, I just cant wait to see the cryrogenics in use, chillin’ down the club. Well, I hope to see everyone there having a great time, I know it will be!
