LaTiGiD LIVE at MASSIVE at RFK stadium in Washington DC (recorded live 11/2011)
LaTiGiD started out in the early 1990′s, spinning progressive house and breaks. He bought his first drum machine, the Roland TB 303 and several other synths, and began writing his own form of progressive house and trance electronic music. In 1999, he bought the MPC 2000 XL, and immersed himself in a new world of musical experiments. With the MPC and his ever expanding interest in tribal instruments, he created a form of electro tribal music that garnered notice from some of the most forward thinking, cutting edge producers/promoters across the globe. Mike Latigid started performing again in 2004, following the inspiration of a long time DJ and friend. But this time, it was different…
LaTiGiD would perform a form of house mixed with progressive basses, funky disco licks, and super heavy house kicks throughout nightclubs nationwide. He has since played with many huge name acts such as deadmau5 , and Chromeo, The Crystal Method, Mustard Pimp, More Fustang, Dada Life, Porter Robinson, Z Trip, Rabbit in the Moon, Bart Bmore, and the list goes on and on.
Mike continues to push the elements of a typical electronic music performance. From using live samplers and synths or cdjs, and dj mixer, Mike Latigid’s live re-edits of some the best in house music makes him stand out amongst a sea of performers.
He is currently working and performing nationwide nightly with dance choreography and visual performances mixed with the Latigid soundscape!
Whether djing or performing live, your never left disappointed at a LaTiGiD show. Rumbling bass and huge kicks; The mystery of LaTiGiD is What will he do next?
